Cube Workspace will expand its footprint this year when we open our two new workspaces in Fourways and Morningside, Johannesburg. This will take our total workspaces to seven across South Africa!
Cube Fourways is located on the corner of The Straight Avenue and Forest Road, which is just off Witkoppen Road, and is a stone throw away from Monte Casino. Once completed, Fourways will be our largest workspace and will include features such as a large interactive auditorium, elevated collaborative pause areas with vertical gardens and a chill out room.
Cube Morningside will be nestled in the exclusive suburb of Morningside and located on Rivonia Road. Morningside is situated in the Sandton Municipal Area, which makes it a highly sought after location due to the close proximity to the Sandton CBD.
Both new spaces will focus on the power of collaboration by creating beautiful innovative spaces for our clients to grow, create and succeed.
When choosing new Cube locations we consider various factors, which include convenience and proximity to transport nodes and top class amenities (such as the city’s best restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues). We believe in empowering our clients to work in a space which enhances their ability to be productive while at the same time growing their network by being part of the Cube community.
Both Fourways and Morningside ticked the all the right boxes and it was an easy decision of where to invest next. We expect both new spaces to be open and ready to welcome a new community of clients to Cube in September 2017.
These two new locations also provide a wonderful opportunity for job creation. We thought that by describing the day in the life of the centre management team would be a great way to illustrate their respective roles.
Cube Workspace Centre Manager is the go to person at the workspace and ultimately responsible for the harmonious co-existence of staff and clients. Their day is always a busy one. A typical day starts with a quick site inspection to ensure the facility is in tip top condition before the clients arrive, on their arrival a warm welcome, settling in new clients ensuring they have the best client experience, and handling any requests throughout the day in a professional, efficient manner. Administration plays a large part of their day as they manage the staff onsite plus ensuring a smooth Cube Café operation. Their proactive, organised approach with other departments ensure anything technology or accounts related are handled efficiently.
The Receptionist is the face and voice of the company and a vital member of the team. A friendly, helpful attitude is what a client, guest or vendor are greeted by on a daily basis. Daily tasks include answering the phone in a professional, pleasant manner, taking messages which are communicated clearly and tracked, and receiving any post or parcels for clients. External conference and meeting room bookings are made by the receptionist, who ensures that the requested technology and refreshments are on order.
The day in the life of IT support revolves around the infrastructure, internet and telephone connectivity. A day could involve setting up a new client to their specific IT requirement to trouble shooting printer, internet, CCTV, and biometric challenges. As infrastructure is essential to our clients’ business, IT is a key influencer on their experience with Cube Workspace.
Barista – everyone’s best friend in the workspace with a friendly, yet respectful, attitude, the barista sets the tone for the day with a delicious cup of coffee or tea. The day starts by checking that the Café is neat and clean and that the coffee machine is ready for action.
